415 - ADULT/S Reported to Inglewood Unified Police Department

5/12/23 at 9:58:00 AM

Incident details:

The above named school contacted school police to advise of two employees. The above named safety assistant will follow up with incident report. - No report needed. Upon further investigation by the safety assistant, it was discovered that the registered nurse found the kitchen knife and stated she was the one who secured it in paper and placed it in the school nurses desk drawer. - The RN said on Wednesday 5/10/23 before she left the campus (around 4p or a little after), she saw the knife on the sink which appeared to be there because someone washed it after lunch and forgot to remove it. She further said because children are in and out of the health office, she wrapped the blade in a paper towel and placed it in the nurses drawer. The RN further said she also put a note on the school nurses computer screen to inform her that the knife was there and to consult the office manager regarding who it might belong to. the RN said it now appears that the school nurse did not read the note nor ask anyone and further said she should have contacted her to discuss the matter. No further.
