On February 7, 2023 at about 1200 hours, I responded to Baldwin Academy School in regards to a vandalism report. I made contact with R who is the principal at the location and she told me that that on yesterday's date (02-06-23) between the hours of 1600-1900 a drinking fountain was vandalized with graffiti. She said the graffiti was written with a blue marker and that upon locating it she reviewed the cameras from the location and identified SJ/ as the person who wrote on the sink. said that SJ was a previous student at the location and that he currently attends Workman High School. RP/ said that the graffiti was removed prior to my arrival and handed me a photo of the graffiti. I checked the photo and I saw the monikers "RIP JAMES 31, REVOK, MAGIK, MOGGY, SANCHO" written in blue ink. The photo was attached to this report. RP said that the drinking fountain was not damaged. I next drove to Workman High School and made contact with SJ I asked him if he had visit Baldwin Academy School on yesterday's date and he replied, "yes." I then asked him if he had written graffiti on a drinking fountain and he admitted to using a blue marker to write on the sink. SJ/ rights were read to him per Miranda and he told me he understood his rights and agreed to talk with me. I showed SJ/8111the photo taken from Baldwin Academy School and he told me he was the person who wrote on the sink. I asked SJ for the location of the marker and he replied "it's inside my backpack." A cursory search of SJ/ person and property was conducted and inside his left front pants pocket I located EV-1 electronic pen with an attached THC cartridge.
