Incident details:

On February 7, 2023 at about 1200 hours, I responded to Baldwin Academy School in regards to a vandalism report. I made contact with R who is the principal at the location and she told me that that on yesterday's date (02-06-23) between the hours of 1600-1900 a drinking fountain was vandalized with graffiti. She said the graffiti was written with a blue marker and that upon locating it she reviewed the cameras from the location and identified SJ/ as the person who wrote on the sink. said that SJ was a previous student at the location and that he currently attends Workman High School. RP/ said that the graffiti was removed prior to my arrival and handed me a photo of the graffiti. I checked the photo and I saw the monikers "RIP JAMES 31, REVOK, MAGIK, MOGGY, SANCHO" written in blue ink. The photo was attached to this report. RP said that the drinking fountain was not damaged. I next drove to Workman High School and made contact with SJ I asked him if he had visit Baldwin Academy School on yesterday's date and he replied, "yes." I then asked him if he had written graffiti on a drinking fountain and he admitted to using a blue marker to write on the sink. SJ/ rights were read to him per Miranda and he told me he understood his rights and agreed to talk with me. I showed SJ/8111the photo taken from Baldwin Academy School and he told me he was the person who wrote on the sink. I asked SJ for the location of the marker and he replied "it's inside my backpack." A cursory search of SJ/ person and property was conducted and inside his left front pants pocket I located EV-1 electronic pen with an attached THC cartridge. Inside the big pocket of SJ/ backpack EV-2 Solid Marker in blue color ink was located. SJ/ ] Nas cited into the Los Angeles County Probation Department who will contact him at a later date and time for the indicated charges of 11357(b) H&S and 594.2(a) PC.

Incident details:

I contacted who stated that at approximately 1030 hours, she saw that the administration south side door was damaged. stated that when she went to further inspect the door, she saw that the door frame was Broken and it appeared that there was forced entry to the building. _ stated that when she walked outside the door, she saw that the storage room adjacent to the south door was broken as well. (See attached photographs) Upon investigation I discovered 2 black in color crowbars laying on the ground near the south side entrance (see attached photographs). In addition I saw 2 bags containing school supplies on the ground which- stated that all the items inside the bags were stored inside the storage room. I also discoverecl"'agreyin color plastic container on a bench with additional school supply just south of the administration office. stated that she discovered that her personal EV Go Green leaf blower was missing from her office. stated that an unknown amount of US currency was also taken from her office. I reviewed the surveillance footage at Fairgrove Academy School and discovered a female, medium built with black wavy hair, wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans and light colored shoes on campus carrying several large plastic bags. The female suspect appeared to be looking around the corners of the buildings as she moved bags around. The suspect is seen leaving campus towards the grass field adjacent to Molinar Ave and out of view. An investigation is pending upon further information received.

Incident details:

I contacted victim (DOB: 01/12/10) who stated that on 03/03/23, she was having a verbal and social media altercation via lnstagram with (a student and one time friend at Grandview Middle School) because she heard that a female student was insulting a friend's mother. [redacted] stated that she approached and told her to stay out of the verbal altercation. [redacted] stated that she challenged to a fight however did not know where the fight was going to take place. [redacted] stated that wanted to fight her off campus However wanted to fight on campus as instructed by her father stated that on 03/06/23 at approximately 0800 hours, when she arrived to school, she saw sitting on a bench adjacent to the entrance gate. [redacted] stated that she knew at that moment that she was going to engage in a physical altercation stated that as she walked pass she saw her, stand up and saw her stated that she immediately grabbed by her hair and threw her on the stated that she then began to strike her several times on her head with approaching her. ground and mount her. and face. stated that she heard someone tell her to get off her and stop hitting her. state that she then heard a spraying sound and felt her eyes burning (assuming that someone pepper sprayed her). stated that even after she felt the burning sensation in her eyes she continued to hit --on her face and head. stated that she then felt someone grab her and get her off stated that she did not see who sprayed her however received information that older sister~as the one who pepper sprayed her on the face. father lllllstated the he wants his daughter to, "press charges" against the person who pepper sprayed his daughter and instructed his daughter to file a private citizen's arrest. stated that she is desirous of prosecution and wants arrested for pepper sprayingher. I contacted school administrator and who was inside the administration office. stated that prior to my arrival gave her teacher a black in color pepper spray for safe keeping. stated that she had the pepper spray in her office and was going to give it to me as evidence. I read Ila her Miranda rights per 625 W.LC. using my department issued (sh-ad-477) card. She stated that she understood her rights and was desirous to speak with me about the incident stated that she knew that her younger sister was having issues with a student at Grandview Middle School named and had a feeling that she was going to fight on Monday (03/03/23). stated that when her older sister dropped off at school, she saw that got thrown to the ground and engaged in a fight-l!lstated that she saw her younger sister laying on the ground while •niisat on her and was punching her several times on her face. at Santana High School located at -·-• telling her to get off her. stated that she told her to get ted that when she saw that lllllllllt did not stop, she took out on her head in order to prevent her sister from getting injured stated that she yelled at off her approximately 6 times. her pepper spray and sprayed any further. I showed the Pepper SRrayshe gave her teacher to hold and asked her if that was the same pepper spray she used to spray Ill . She stated that it was. (Evidence# 23-334) Per Statement of Private Person's Arrest, I issued a citation (# 012616) for Penal Code Section Violation 22810(d) Tear Gas Weapon. I issued her mother a citation (#012617) under W.LC. 660.5 (e) parent must appear with juvenile in court I am forwarding this report to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office for review and filing.

Incident details:

On January 26, 2023 at about 1300 hours, I responded to La Puente High School in regards to a vandalism repo1t. handed me six photos that were taken from the boy's restroom walls showing the moniker "Mr Happy" written with a sharpie marker. He estimated the total clean up fee to be approximately $500.00 dollars. I took possession of the THC pens and they were booked into the HLPSD evidence locker. See attached photos. I next made contact with and I read him his rights per Miranda and he told me he understood his rights and agreed to talk with me. I showed the two THC pens and I asked him if they were his property and he replied "yes." I then showed the six photos containing the moniker "Mr Happy" and I asked him if he was the person who wrote on the walls and he replied "Yes, that's me. I'm Mr Happy.' denied being affiliated with a gang or tagging crew. was cited into the Los Angeles Probation Department who will contact him at later date and time for the indicated charges of 594(a)(1) PC and 11357 (b) H&S. was released to after being issued a citation for the above matter. The Hacienda La Puente USD is requesting that the Los Angeles Probation Department mandates to pay the restitution in the amount of $500.00 for the above damages.

I RESPONDED AND MADE CONTACT WITH FACILITIES MANAGER IN THE QUAD AREA. HE INFORMED ME THAT WHEN HE ARRIVED AT WORK THIS MORNING AT 0515 HOURS HE OBSERVED THE GRAFFITI ALL OVER AND AROUND THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND OTHERS. SUSPECTS SPRAY PAINTED THE SECURITY CAMERA ON THE LITTLE THEATER. THEY CONTINUED TAGGING OVER THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL AND THEN ENTERED THE CAMPUS TAGGING NUMEROUS LOCATIONS. THEY TAGGED THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND HACIENDA/ LITTLE THEATER. THEY CONTINUED TAGGING THE BRICK IN THE QUAD, VENDING MACHINES, THE INSIDE MARQUEE, TREES AND CEMENT WALKWAYS. RP -lllll!i'IITOOK PICTURES FOR ME AND CONTACTED FACILITIES TO HAVE ADDITIONAL HELP FOR CLEAN UP. THE GRAFFITI WAS CLEANED UP PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL AND THE STUDENTS ARRIVING FOR SCHOOL. THE TAGGING ON CAMPUS WAS AS FOLLOW: "ETB", "EVIR TREAT BOYZ", "RST" AND "SHYBKOY". THIS WAS DONE WITH WHITE SPRAY PAINT. I REVIEWED THE CAMERA'S AND OBSERVED FIVE MALE JUVENILES AT APPROXIMATELY 0110 HOURS, ALL WEARING DARK CLOTHING COME ON TO THE CAMPUS WALKING WESTBOUND ON LOS ROBLES AVENUE. ONE OF THE JUVENILE WAS WEARING A SWEATSHIRT WITH WRITING THAT I COULD MAKE OUT SOME OF IT. IT HAD "DOG" AND "NOV11" IN WHITE LETTERING ON THE BACK, NFD. THEY TAGGED UP THE FRONT OF CAMPUS AND JUMPED THE FRONT WROUGHT IRON FENCE GAINING ACCESS TO THE CAMPUS AND CONTINUING THEIR VANDALISM. THEY REMAINED ON CAMPUS UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 0154 HOURS USING A TRASH CAN AND JUMPING OVER THE WROUGHT IRON FENCE BY THE ELEVATOR ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE "J" BUILDING AND FLED EAST BOUND LOS ROBLES AND OUT OF SIGHT. APPROXIMATE COST TO REPAINT AND CLEAN UP THE GRAFFITI IS $1000.00. NO FURTHER INFORMATION AT THIS TIME. I WILL CONTINUE TO LOOK AT SECURITY CAMERAS.

I RESPONDED TO THE SCHOOL AND MADE CONTACT WITH ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IN HER OFFICE. INSIDE HER OFFICE SHE HAD A STUDENT NAMED WHO WAS THE SUSPECT IN THE VANDALISM. W/ TOLD ME THAT SUSPECT HAD ONLY BEEN IN THE SCHOOL FOR A FEW DAYS AND THAT SHE KNEW HE WAS FROM THE NORWALK AREA THIS MORNING IT WAS REPORTED TO HER THAT THERE WAS NEW VANDALISM WITH THE GANG OF "NORWALK 13" IN THE "E/F RESTROOM. IT SHOULD BE NOTED WE HAVE NEVER HAD A GANG WRITING ON CAMPUS FROM NORWALK AT ALL W/ TALKED TO SUSPECT AND HE SAID HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT AND WAS NOT FROM A GANG. W/ CONDUCTED AN ADMINISTRATIVE SEARCH OF SUSPECTS BACKPACK REVEALING THE SAME WRITING ON PAPER THAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE WALLS. I MADE CONTACT WITH SUSPECT AND HE TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT HIS IT WAS A FRIENDS THAT DID NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. SUBJECT TOLD ME HE WAS NOT A GANG MEMBER BUT HAD BEEN STABBED AND SHOT BEFORE AND STOPPED ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS. SUSPECT WAS CITED FOR 594PC - VANDALISM OF SCHOOL PROPERTY ON CITATION #012584 AND CITED INTO LA COUNTY PROBATION. SUSPECT WAS TURNED OVER TO SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION AND BEFORE GRANDMOTHER ARRIVED TO PICK HIM UP HE BOLTED FROM THE FRONT OFFICE AND OFF CAMPUS. ATTACHED ARE PHOTOS OF THE RESTROOM VANDALISM AND PHOTOS OF WHAT HE HAD IN HIS POSSESSION, THEY ARE MARKED ACCORDINGLY FOR THIS REPORT ESTIMATE COST FOR CLEANUP $75.00.

Incident details:

Upon arrival I contacted (the owner of the black Nissan Frontier) who was approaching the vehicle. I asked him if the Black Nissan Frontier was his. He stated that it was. I advised him that someone had seen him drinking alcohol inside his vehicle and asked him if he had an open alcohol container inside the vehicle. ••111111stated that he had been drinking. When I asked him for his California driver's license, he stated that he did not have one issued to him. He stated that he only had a Mexican Consular card. Upon searching his vehicle, I found an open 24 oz Modelo Especial beer can with approximately 3/4 of its contents empty inside the center console of his vehicle. When I showed llllllllllllthe beer can, he smiled and stated that he only had one while waiting to pick up his daughter at school. I advised him that it was illegal for him to be drinking in public and could be dangerous for not only him and his daughter but for other motorist and pedestrians out in public if he's driving intoxicated. stated that he knew he should not have been drinking in his vehicle and should have waited to get home. Due to not having a valid California driver's license, I took possession of his car keys. I issued Hernandez a citation #012614 for California Vehicle Code section violation's 23223(a) Open alcohol container and 12500(a) Unlicensed Driver with a promise to appear in court with a date of 05/25/23. With consent, I released his Nissan Frontier to his friend, with a valid California driver's license # and instructed him not to drive until he obtains a valid California driver's license.

Incident details:

On Janua,y 30, 2023 at about 1130 hours, I responded to Sierra Vista MS in regards to a student who was found in possession of a knife. I made contact with VJ who is the Principal at the location and she told me she received information from a student who wishes to remain anonymous for safety reasons that S was in possession of a knife. W said based on the information she received she contacted SJ who was in class and escorted him to her office and once arriving she asked him if he was in possession of a knife and SJ,■ 111111 became argumentative and defensive. W/IIIIIIBsaid after asking SJ several times that he needed to empty his pants pocket, he removed EV-1 a locking knife from his pants pocket. . w told her the reason he carries the knife was for protection. I took possession of the knife and the blade measured approximately 3" inches in length. The item was booked into evidence in the HLP SPD evidence locker. I made contact with S and I read him his rights per Miranda and he told me he understood his rights and agreed to talk with me. Prior to reading SJ rights, I read him my department issued Glady's Questionnaire and based on his response I formed the opinion that he knew the difference between right from wrong. I asked SJ why he was carrying a knife and he replied, "You know to protect myself. There's a lot of things happening in the neighborhood and I need to protect myself." S refused to tell me if he had any issues with anyone within the school or the city. SJ refused to continue to cooperate and to provide further details as to why he was in possession of EV-1. This concluded my interview with SJ SJ was cited into the Pomona Juvenile Court with a court date of March 30, 2023 at 0830 hours for the indicated charge of 626.10(a)(1) PC. While released to who is his mother she told me that she gave the knife to her son in order for he can protect himself.

Incident details:

I contacted showed him a picture of a male student sitting on the toilet. photograph resembled him. stated that he thinks it was him because there was a backpack in the photograph that looks like the one he carries. stated that he took a good look at the photograph and stated that he is not sure if it was him in the picture. stated that he does not remember anyone ever taking a picture of him while using the restroom. He further stated that he does not have a copy of the photograph and does not know of anyone still in possession of the photograph. I contacted his motherlll.1111111111! and advised her of the incident and investigation. stated that she would like her son to, "press charges" against whoever took a picture of him using the restroom. On 03/16/23 I received additional information via E-mail from Sparks Middle School stating that she was able to obtain a copy of a photograph of a juvenile sitting on the toilet from an anonymous student on campus. She stated that the juvenile sitting on the toilet resembled (see attached photograph). dllstated that when was investigating and questionin ·n January 2023, he told her that he had heard that a student by the name of took a picture of him using the toilet.- stated that upon her investigation, an anonymous female student stated that she was there when came out of the male restroom stating that he took a photograph of a student inside the restroom stall. She said that sked several students in the area if they wanted to see it. - stated that when she questioned about the photograph, he admitted to taking a photograph of •• inside a restroom stall and airdropping it to other students. On 03/20/23 I re-contacted and showed him the photograph - was able to recover. Upon. showing •alfthe photograph, I asked him if this was the photograph that he had seen airdropped on campus.•1111111118stathteadt it was. When I asked him if that was him in the photograph, he stated that he was not 100 percent sure if it was him. However,••11 stated that he is desirous of prosecution and wo·uldlike to file a private person's arrest (see attached statement of private person's arrest form) against !II I contacted and ts mother present, I read m~ther his Miranda rights per 625 w.i.c. using my department issued (sh-ad-477) card. He stated that he understood his rights and was desirous to speak with me about the in~ident. stated that he was the one who took a photograph of using the restroom. stated that he does not remember when he took the photograph. He stated that he just knows that it was a few months ago. stated that he used his cellphone to take the photograph and did it because he thought it would be, "funny". lated that he then airdropped the photograph, sharing it with whoever was around at the time. Based on the information received, and private person's arrest form, I placed under arrest for penal code section violation 6470)(1):ltC., Disorderly conduct. I issued citation (#012618) and I released him to his mother, I& without further incident. I also issued his mother,.1111111111 a citation (#012619) under W.I.C. 660.5 (e) parent must appear with juvenile in court. I am forwarding this report to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office for review and filing.

Incident details:

I contacted Reporting pa,tl 'M . .. . . . [ who stated that on 03/22/23 at approximately 171O hours, s e was loading her vehicle with her personal belongings out in the schools' parking lot. stated that she placed her work rolling case containing a Hacienda La Puente Unified School District issued Dell model 3380 laptop, 1 ergonomic mouse, and several student files besides her vehicle and forgot to place it inside the vehicle stated she drove off campus and did not notice it was missing until 03/23/23. Upon investigation I reviewed the school surveillance footage and saw that on 03/23/23 at approximately 1713 hours, a black in color pick-up truck (possibly GMC) drove up alongside of the rolling case. A male adult exited the vehicle, picked up the rolling case and placed it inside his vehicle. The driver then drove northbound on Tonopah Ave. and out of view. I was unable to clearly see the vehicles license plate or identify the driver. I entered the stolen property into the Automated Property System at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station. An investigation is pending upon further information received.

Incident details:

On March 20, 2023 at about 1200 hours, I responded to Wedgeworth Elementary in regards to a burglary report. I met with RP who identified himself as a supervisor for [redacted]. He said that his company was stationed at the location as they are remodeling the school. RP said on Friday 03-17-23 he left the location at about 1600 hours and when he arrived to work on today's date at about 0800 hours, he noticed that two portables that are to the rear of the property were broken into. He said the portables are currently used as their primary office during the construction built. RP said that the doors to the portables were secured prior to leaving for the day on Friday and that the portables are not monitored by a security company and that a surveillance system was not available. RP said he conducted an inventory to the missing items prior to my arrival. See stolen property list for items reported missing. I checked the first portable and noticed that a window security metal bar was removed and that it was on the ground bellow the window. I entered the portable and noticed that the interior was ransacked. Several paper work was on the floor and the doors to the desks/file cabinets were standing wide open. After clearing the first portable, I checked the second portable and noticed that the entry door security bar was removed and that the bar was on the ground about 5 feet away from the door. I checked the portable and noticed that the interior was ransacked. Several paperwork was on the floor and the doors to the desks/file cabinets were standing wide open. A search of the area was conducted in attempt to locate any suspect(s) or witnesses and it met with negative results. This report is for documentation purposes only as no workable information was attained at the time report was taken. I attached photos taken from the scene to this report.

HE TOLD ME THAT TWO WERE TAKEN LAST NIGHT AND TWO WERE TAKEN ON 1/18/23 FROM THE ROOM. TEACHE HAD REPORTED IT TO SECURITY OFFICER WHO WAS ON DUTY BOTH NIGHTS. NO SUSPECT(S) SEEN IN THE AREA BUT AT THE END OF CLASS ON THOSE EVENINGS THE BATTERIES WERE THERE. NO FURTHER INFORMATION AT THIS TIME.

I contacted warehouse employee who stated that in JanuaIy 2022, he stored 3 Samsung DC55E DC-E Series 55" Direct-Lit LED Display Televisions and 3 Epson PowerLite 700U WUXGA Projectors inside the warehouse. stated that the items were on a pallet and placed on top of a shelf adjecet to a wall (See attached photograph) stated during Christmas break (12/19/22 - 01/02/23) he saw that the pallet containing the items, were intact and as he placed them in January. ] ;tated that on 02/06/23 at approximately 1230 hours, he was instructed to bring down the pal et containing the items down from the shelf in order for them to be installed on campus. stated that he noticed that the clear plastic wrap that surrounded the items was cut and not as he had left it. stated that when he brought down the pallet and inspected the boxes, he saw that the boxes were empty. z stated that he is that only employee authorized to use the forklift however has seen use the forklift a few times. I contacted and asked him if he had used or seen anyone using the forklift inside the warehouse during Chritmas break. stated that he had not however, knows that a custodian PM shift arrives on campus and are on site until 2000 hours stated that the forklift keys are often left inside the forklift, allowing anyone to use the forklift at anytime. I obtained an estimated value in property taken (See attached) from who estimate the stolen property at $7,857.00. I entered the stolen property into the Automated Property System at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station. And investigation is pending upon further information received.
